PBL – How can we design the best habitats for animals in local zoos or aquariums? After becoming experts in many of the world’s biomes, students will choose an animal to focus/research. Next students will design the ideal habitat for said animal.
Today we began by sharing what we know about biomes. Then we watched an inspirational video that high-lights various biomes – you should check it out:
Next, we practiced our internet research skills by visiting http://www.skyenimals.com/browse_habitat.cgi. Students wrote a fact about 5 biomes and illustrated an animal from each biome. We shared our knowledge with the class.
